I didn't expect it to be a direct successor to the MW 1 but that what it wound out to be and I was pleasantly surprised. The story in this one is certainly more consistent and intriguing. Now more about the game itself - it is as awesome as the firsr Modern Warfare. The interesting thing is MW2 Remastered was released 4 years after the first remaster but looks, feels and runs completely the same. It is still a great game and a great remaster. Overall it doesn't feel like a big step up from the original MW2 and I hope they fix some of the optimizations issues (but given MWR's track record I don't think that will happen.) I went back to the original MW2 to check and that seemed to be the case. I wanted to play through on regular first to stop and smell the roses but it felt more like hardened. I also noticed that the difficulty seems to have been artificially increased on all levels, making the game a challenge on all difficulties.
